After Arriving at IISc

Welcome guide

All the incoming International student/visitor’s are requested to visit OIR after appointment. Please get signature of your supervisor on form below. Registration with Police

All foreigners arriving at the Institute who are likely to stay for more than 180 days in India have to report to Police (Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City, Bangalore) within 14 days from the date of arrival in India (not the date of arrival in Bangalore). You need to visit along with your passport to OIR Office as soon as you arrive at IISc.

Identity Card

  • With enhanced security measures, it is essential that you get an Institute identity card upon arrival. To obtain the Institute’ ID card, you need to visit the IISc’ security office with your invitation letter and 2 passport size photos.
