Inauguration of IISc Zero Emission EV charging station by the Director, Professor Govindan Rangarajan (March 16, 2021)

On March 16, 2021, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore has completed the setting up of Solar-based Zero Emission EV charging station at its campus, under Prof. Ashish Verma’s Indo-UK collaboration on “Innovating for Clean Air Programme (IfCA)“. Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director, IISc and Mr. Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford, the British Deputy High Commissioner in Bangalore graced this occasion and inaugurated the facility. Prof. Ashish Verma is the Convenor of “IISc Sustainable Transportation Lab (IST Lab). His lab aims to promote vibrant sustainable communities by redefining the approach to urban transportation planning and policy, encouraging intelligent transportation, and improving the quality of life.
