IISc-TU Delft Joint Seed Fund 2023

IISc-TU Delft Collaborative Research Grant program is to enhance the joint activities between Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Technical University of Delft, Netherlands by inviting joint proposals from faculty members from both institutions.

What does it mean?

On January 24, 2022, IISc and TU Delft signed a MoU, aiming to foster scientific and technological cooperation between researchers at two institutions, through the funding of joint research projects. These matching funds will support collaborative research initiatives and activities that will lead to impactful research outcomes.

How does it work?

Under this program, scientific staff at TU Delft can apply for funding for joint activities such as exchanges, workshops, webinars/seminars and any other form of partnerships, to be promoted and implemented jointly when both IISc & TUD find it mutually beneficial.

Proposals from all fields of knowledge are welcome, as well as interdisciplinary proposals.

The funding is provided on the basis that it will be used as catalytic funding for the establishment of an international research collaboration that has the potential to develop further, beyond the lifetime of the grant, and ideally leverage external funding.

The total duration of a project can be 1 year, and the budget envelope is up to 5000 Euro from TU Delft and up to 5.0 L from IISc.
