Since then, they have identified IISc as a&nbsp;participating institute to receive 5-6 IISc nominees&nbsp;in&nbsp;STEM arena and OIR has coordinated the nomination process. Goal&nbsp;of this program is to provide the next generation of scientific&nbsp;leaders with a postdoctoral experience that will expose them to new fields&nbsp;of study (by doing a&nbsp;postdoc&nbsp;in a field different from their own), and in&nbsp;addition, 5-weeks of global exposure to some of the best universities in&nbsp;the world in order to equip them with new ways of thinking and innovation. The program is targeted at individuals, who are currently nearing the&nbsp;completion of their PhDs and exhibit the type of scientific curiosity,&nbsp;intellectual drive, and global ambitions that will position them for&nbsp;future success.
